Hundreds of Thousands of People Flock to Flona Jakarta 2023

The Jakarta Forestry and City Forests Agency has noted that as many as 300,000 people packed the Flona Jakarta 2023 exhibition held at Taman Lapangan Banteng, Central Jakarta. The number is higher than last year.

Ready to move towards a green and modern

Jakarta Forestry and City Forests Agency Head, Bayu Meghantara expressed that the average daily visitors on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) were 25,000 visitors per day and 5,000 visitors on weekdays.

He explained that most of Flona's visitors started by visiting the agency booth and then continued shopping at the stock exchange booth.

"The 128 stands here consist of entrepreneurs engaged in the gardening and urban forest sectors, including ornamental plant stands, fruit plants, pet animals, and medicinal plants as well as food and drink stands," he expressed, Tuesday (10/17).

He revealed the community space was presented as a form of synergy with the community displaying their innovation and creativity, such as workshops and art installations, as well as various competitions every weekend in the form of weekly events.

There were various activities held, starting from Betawi style flower and fruit arrangement competition, Indonesian flower arrangements, PKK and Dharma Wanita competitions, and environmentally friendly product competitions as well as community competitions. Another very useful activity was the series of activities carried out by IPBI and PAI.

As for the information,  the Flona Jakarta 2023 exhibition has been held from September 15 to October 16, 2023. The theme taken is Jakarta Berseri Menuju Indonesia Lestari (Jakarta Radiant Towards a Sustainable Indonesia).

"Where Jakarta is fully committed to creating a city that is radiant, comfortable, enjoyable, can facilitate its people, is beautiful and aesthetic and is always ready to move towards a green and modern Jakarta as one of the world's global cities," he added.

The participants consisted of 128 flora and fauna booths, seven agency booths, two community booths, and 30 culinary booths for a total of 167 participant booths.
